Navigating competing obligations of caring for loved ones and providing financially for them is challenging. It’s even more difficult when unforeseen situations arise. Those who don’t qualify for traditional means of support, such as social services, are often left without options in those moments. We know Mahalas are expected to keep it all together without “backup” to rely on.
